As part of that promotion; we promised that upon reaching that goal. We would release an exclusive piece of Art from The Dark After Dawn. So what better day than also the release of our official Quick start rules. 

So as promised this is the piece.

So meet Davis ‘ZeroDay’ Jones. Who has appeared throughout our promotional material and as a voice inside both the Arena rules and Quick start.  Where he uses the Leetspeak written form Z3D4Y as his Alias. A concept which forms part of the Character Creation of the Core Edition. 

Z is the first charecter to be designed for this game, and Through whom I channeled all my experiences with Mental Health, nightmares, fears doubts etc. That eventually became the mystical world of demons, monsters that he inhabits. A mouthpiece for some really important questions I had about managing trauma and moving through each day. He came to exemplify strength of will , determination. 
His name for example based off the Tech Exploit ZeroDay for example. Was a stand in for the unstable and unpredictable chaos of Mental health, and how often it just comes with unrelenting force. Turning this name towards a character who’s survival of trauma has fuelled his Magick, and set him on a crusade for both supernatural and social change. Using this name not only helps his enigmatic position in our lore. But also (in my opinion) is a reflection of the stance we have taken on Mental Health. And how nobody should be counted out of the game. 

That anyone has the power to change reality, and the world. 

However for the developed Metaplot.. Z is also incredibly important to the story and while you will have to wait and see 😉 is in fact the leader of one the major playable faction of the Draiochta Coterie! Colloquially known as The Day. 

Enigmatic, powerful in the battle for reality. What you can be sure off for now is this…..
