New SRD (system base)


In the original posting of TDAD; i established that the base system would be based on the Lumen System designed by Spencer Cambell. Which appeared in the credits section of our itch page and in various comments on Social Media.  

This was until this update; we were inafct adapting the Three Attribute-D6 Dicepool system that 'Illumuniated' games used/.

That was; through no fault of the system; the setting of TDAD outgrew the mechanics and required the development of a more  appropriete SRD (mechanics system).   So we decided to make our own and tailor make it as we go along.  

This has been a huge step for us; and required us to reorganise a lot of our current working practice for this game. For example from the outset it was decided; that we ought to Improve our document software, organisational systems and planning methods.  To handle notetaking, playetesting and just general devlopment outside of word and to something more robust and managable. So it can handle the various tasks we throw at it, with ease of access .  

The second was to decide to keep the D6 Dice pool system as our game mechanic; but to tailor things like Atrributes, Actions, Skills etc to our own way of handelling things. While making sure that any other mechanics we add in devlopment; adhere to the 'simplicity of play, but the deepness of charecter; ethos we hope to be establishing. Especially as we move into refining and deeping Charecter creation. 

It is working fantastically so far; and we hope that with a bit more time to finish and edit the rest of the SRD and use it as tool to boost our funding efforts, give  you all a sense of what we are trying to achive before importing the fiction, setting et onto the Core Rulebook.   

Its an exciting time and we definitley will share and give more detailed tutorials and updates as we go along.
